The Plaza institution: sticky buns at dawn, ice cream all afternoon.
Downtown Bakery has baked for Healdsburg since 1987, everything made in house on Center Street at the edge of the Plaza. The sticky buns are the reason people queue early, with sour cherry galettes, breads, and doughnuts alongside them, and ice cream from the creamery counter later in the day.
On Saturdays the bakery also sets up at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market in San Francisco, weather permitting. Open Tuesday through Sunday, closed Mondays. Four minutes on foot from Duchamp.
