The pool courtyard sits at the very heart of Duchamp, and it becomes whatever the day asks of it.
The Pool Courtyard is the heart of our property, and a special place to relax. Its unhurried, peaceful rhythm invites you to slow down and gift yourself some time to enjoy the moment. Many guests tell us the same thing: “We wish we hadn’t planned so much for this trip. Next time, we just want to spend more time right here.”
The lush, mature landscaping brings a special intimacy, like a private estate garden. When the Meyer lemon trees are in bloom, their scent carries across the pool and perfumes the entire courtyard.
Early mornings are as quiet as a gentle meandering creek. Birds move through the hedges, the fountains in The Grove murmur in the distance, and the first light finds the tops of the umbrellas.
As the morning steam rises from the 50' Full Sun Lap Pool, swim your laps before anyone else is awake. Then settle onto a chaise with a book, or simply sit with your coffee and your plans for the day. Meet friends on the lobby pool patio before walking downtown for breakfast and shopping. Or carry back something delectable from the neighboring Farmers Market, made fresh while you wait by local chefs and purveyors, and enjoy it on one of the two Pool Corner Couches that bookend the spa.
Forgot your book or sunscreen? Though you feel worlds away in our tranquil courtyard, your suite is just steps away, and you are back in your chair before anyone notices you left.
Warm afternoons can turn social, with many guests resting up for the evening ahead. Cool off with a drink resting on the pool deck, floating at water level, and take in the courtyard from a whole new perspective: the umbrellas overhead, the balconies above, the lemon trees at eye level.

The Oversized Spa
Adjoining the pool is an oversized spa with room to gather without ever feeling crowded, and discreet chair lifts serve both the pool and the spa, so the water welcomes every guest.
Private Chaise Patios
Surrounding the tranquil blue water of our 50' pool are six private chaise lounge patios, each with a pair of chaises and a drink table beneath its own oversized cantilevered umbrella. Every patio is separated from the next by mature, layered plantings and fragrant Meyer lemon trees. In spring their blossoms perfume the whole courtyard and their lemons find their way into local restaurants. Claim a patio and it becomes yours for as long as you like: a small, personal world with the refreshing water at your feet and the garden at your back. It is a private, unhurried way to spend a rejuvenating day at Duchamp.
The Corner Couches
At the courtyard's edge, our poolside corner couches rest in the shade of oversized cantilevered umbrellas, surrounded by a wall of greenery and lush landscaping. Made for a long book, a slow glass, or an easy conversation with the guests one couch over, our corner couches have become a quiet favorite of our guests. And there is no reason to leave your seat: our poolside service will bring you a glass of Sonoma County wine, or a cold local craft beer, directly to your couch or chaise.
The Lobby Pool Patio
The lobby pool patio sits just outside The Living Room, looking down the full length of the pool courtyard. It is where morning coffee tends to migrate, and where an afternoon glass finds a table in the shade. Between the great room behind you and the water ahead, it may be the easiest seat on the property to settle into.
