The Overlook Suite is one of only two luxury suites set above the lobby, just off the Fitch Mountain Overlook, our rooftop event deck. Your private exterior entry sits just off the roof deck itself, with Fitch Mountain in plain view on the horizon and a dedicated ice machine twenty feet from your door. Come and go by the exterior stairwells without ever passing through the lobby, or take the elevator, where The Living Room quietly awaits below.
Morning and evening, the Fitch Mountain Overlook is just outside your door: pull up a chair at a bistro table, or take a seat at The Duchamp King’s Table, with coffee at sunrise or a glass of wine at golden hour.
Neither rooftop suite keeps a private patio, and neither needs one: the entire roof deck is just steps from your door, a quiet world of its own above the lobby, with a bird’s-eye view of the Pool Courtyard and Fitch Mountain. These are the only two second floor suites at Duchamp with elevator access; all other upper level suites on our property are served by stairs only.
Inside this spacious suite, a generous suitcase landing area waits just inside your door. As you continue in, a full six-foot closet and a large kitchenette follow, with a Nespresso machine and a Sub-Zero undercounter refrigerator. The countertop here is the longest of any suite on the property, with plenty of room for preparing a quick snack or pouring a glass of wine.
In the bedroom, a king bed with luxurious linens is joined by an oversized barrel chair for a relaxing read, and two oversized picture windows overlook the mature Pistache trees of The Grove below. Beneath the windows sits a pop-up TV cabinet, kept closed so nothing interrupts your view of The Grove. When you want it, a motorized 55” HDTV rises at the flip of a switch, ready to watch from the comfort of bed.
The bathroom is the largest of any suite at Duchamp, finished like all the others in polished granite and plate glass. A large curbless walk-in shower anchors the space, joined by a matching double vanity and a private water closet.
The Overlook is a favorite of brides getting married at Duchamp Healdsburg. It offers a private, secluded place to prepare, with the gathering in The Grove below in full view through the picture windows. When the moment comes, the elevator brings you down quietly, unseen, and your first appearance is the walk down the aisle.
The Overlook is also one of our fully accessible suites, designed to current ADA standards, with accessibility woven in so seamlessly that most guests never notice it.
