Our Story

The original Duchamp was built in the year 2000 with just six suites and a pool. It ran for twenty-three years and for most of that time, it was the quietest place in town to stay, which was the whole point.

After more than twenty-three years, the spirit of Duchamp had proven its appeal and worth, and provided the inspiration for what was yet to come. In late 2023, we took everything down to the ground and embarked on a new journey, one that would yield a hotel property unlike anything else in downtown Healdsburg.

We could have renovated what we had. But this would have meant countless compromises that would have ultimately prevented Duchamp from being what it is today.

What we wanted was a place with the comfort and privacy of a friend's wine country estate, with the location and amenities of a boutique resort hotel in a treasured destination. Private onsite parking, personal check-in that usually takes less than a minute, no shared hallways, private entrances to every suite, your own patio or balcony, and all just steps away from everything that downtown Healdsburg has to offer.

For more than sixty years, our family has lived and worked in Healdsburg, Windsor and Santa Rosa. This is the area we grew up in and Healdsburg is the town we love. Twenty suites now. A pool courtyard with seating for 30 and quiet corners made for meeting new friends or private conversation. A rooftop event deck with its own commercial kitchen, where we host rehearsal dinners, celebrations, private dining, all in view of the sun setting on Fitch Mountain. And just steps from celebrated restaurants, world-renowned tasting rooms, and gracious, kind people at every turn.

About Duchamp Healdsburg

The Property.

Duchamp Healdsburg is a 20-suite luxury boutique hotel hidden in plain sight in downtown Healdsburg, California. Every suite has its own private exterior entry, with no shared hallways. Just steps from Healdsburg Plaza, guests find themselves at the center of wine country while enjoying the quiet of a walled retreat.

The property centers on a private pool courtyard with the 50' Full Sun Lap Pool and adjoining oversized spa. The Grove, a walled garden with mature Pistache trees and fountains, sits alongside as the quieter half of the property. A rooftop event deck overlooks both, with a display kitchen, hospitality station, and king's table seating up to 78 guests against a Fitch Mountain sunset. A fire pit lounge, lobby great room, and complimentary onsite parking round out the guest experience. Duchamp is the only hotel in downtown Healdsburg with its own private onsite parking lot.
