The Madrona is Healdsburg’s grand Victorian, an 1881 mansion restored into a small estate hotel whose dining room may be the most romantic table in the county. Much of what reaches the plate begins in the gardens just below the veranda.
Dinner is a candlelit affair, breakfast and weekend brunch are quieter pleasures, and the veranda at golden hour asks nothing of you but a glass in hand. The drive from Duchamp is four minutes up Westside Road.
